Good condition. Several marks on front and back covers. Some minor wear to book corners and edges. Body text and binding are still very good. Jack French and his parents, Dean and Winsley French, left England in 1923 to start a new life on Group Settlement 89 at West Pemberton. French describes the conditions that his family faced and the deliberate misrepresentation of the forest conditions and lack of amenities. With photographs throughout, French's autobiography includes the depression years, WWII and the post-war years up until his retirement and move to Augusta.
