A first edition of this delightful book of verses on hunting, illustrated with monochrome plates by Lionel Edwards. First edition. Illustrated with sixteen plates. Collated complete. A poetry collection themed to hunting and other such pursuits, containing verses such as 'Again', 'Wander-lust', 'The Galloping Sort', 'Puppy Show' and 'The Other Fellow'. Written by 'Rancher'. Illustrated by Lionel Edwards, a British artist who specialised in painting horses and other aspects of British country life. In the original quarter cloth binding with paper covered boards. Externally, sound with rubbing and light bumping to the extremities. Light loss of the paper to the board edges with the odd mark to the boards. Light fading to the spine. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright with light scattered spotting. Good.
