Near fine, with light rubbing to spine ends and bottom edges of boards, and a hint of staining to front free endpaper; very good unclipped dust jacket, with light rubbing and light dampstaining to front panel, and a little restoration to corners and lower front panel. Overall, a bright and attractive copy. The last new work to be published during the author's lifetime, Tarzan and "The Foreign Legion" is the twenty-second novel in Burroughs' adventure series featuring Tarzan, a semi-wild Englishman who was raised by and lives among the apes of the jungles of central Africa. In this novel, Tarzan, now a member of the R.A.F. during WWII, fights as part of the international Allied group known as "the foreign legion," where he uses his jungle training to help secure a victory against the Axis Japanese forces.
