Terms of sale
M&B Books is a partnership between an experienced part-time dealer and an enthusiastic relative newcomer, now with six year's experience, both based in South London, England. Mick McLean has been selling collectable books at markets and Book Fairs in the UK since 1983. He also once exhibitied at the Rocky Mountain Book Fair in Denver, Co. Mick sells mainly Modern First Editions with a crime and mystery focus reflecting his own collecting interests. To complement Mick’s depth of experience, Peter Belchamber still brings the zeal of the newly converted to book collection and dealing. Peter's interests include historical fiction, thriller writers and adventure stories from the 1960s to the present day. He specialises in complete sets of first editions by authors such as Patrick O'Brian, Allan Mallinson, Anthony Powell, Olivia Manning, Pat Barker, Gerald Seymour, Donna Leon, Colm Toibin, Sebastian Faulks, Robert Harris, Stephen Boyd, and in period books by Dornford Yates. He sells also runs and collections of the New Naturalist series of natural history first editions and illustrated children's books by Arthur Ransome and others.
Between us we aim to give great customer service and to offer all our books at reasonable prices. We also try to keep postage (shipping) costs to a minimum. Please feel free to email/phone with any inquiries or for additional photos/information.
Shipping terms
Orders usually ship within 2 business days. Shipping costs are based on books weighing less than 2kg. If your book order is heavy or oversized, we may contact you to let you know extra shipping is required (although we rarely do this and never for UK customers). We usually post overseas via surface mail (International Economy) although this method of delivery is slow. Please feel free to email with any inquiries or for an exact shipping quote for non UK customers.
