4to. pp. [4]ads, 298, [16]ads. 1 leaf of ads cut out. numrous text illus. original blind-stamped cloth (extremities & lower rear joint frayed). First Edition. The author was principal of the Textile Department of the Pennsylvania Museum and School of Industrial Art. He produced this guide as a textbook and reference tool for both the student and the textile manufacturer. The work contains numerous diagrams of fabric weaves, illustrations of machinery and tables for analyzing calculations. Woodbury p. 28.
