Item description from seller

First English Translation edition, translated by Carla Sherman. In near fine condition. The original French edition of the novel, titled Les dix rois de la mer, was published in 1989 by the French publisher Éditions Jeanne Laffitte. The novel is heavily inspired by the brothers' shared real-life underwater explorations, particularly Jacques' discovery of a 300-year-old sunken Spanish galleon. Their mutual fascination with maritime history, ancient civilizations, and the lost continent of Atlantis directly shapes the plot.
