I want you, yes; but passionate and long / Not merely sympathetic, friendly, brief." Mark Holloway (né Frederic Armstrong) was a half-brother of John Gawsworth, about whom he wrote in John Gawsworth and the Lost Kingdom of Redonda (2002); he was also the biographer of Norman Douglas and a would-be biographer of Paul Potts, "the people's poet". The Tragara Press later published Holloway's Some Letters of Pino Orioli to Mrs Gordon Crotch (1974), as well as printing his leaflet poem Alyse Gregory . . . In Memoriam (also 1974). Halliwell A18.
