Hardcover. Condition: Good. Various (illustrator). 1st Edition. A sound copy of this 224 page book, with 293 plates - 31 in colour. Introduction by Michael Ayrton. The jacket is torn at the edges, with small areas of loss. The book is clean, but with signs of water staining in two small areas at the top and bottom of the spine area. This has not affected the contents. All plates present, but some of the tipped-in colour plates have become unstuck; easily remedied. A fascinating study of the copying of paintings by subsequent masters of art. Please note that this is a very heavy book, and postage at cost will be greater than the default rate quoted by ABEBooks.
