Theory and Practice of Control Systems

Proceedings of a June 1998 conference, by contributors representing many areas in system and control theory. Subjects include new results for the control of linear systems, applications of control theory, real sliding behaviors in time delay and discrete time control systems, navigation of mobile robots in unstructured environments, delay systems, and flexible structures. Other subjects are uncertain and constrained linear systems, nonlinear and robust control design, advanced sensing and control in robotic applications, and recent developments in manufacturing systems. The editors are associated with universities in Italy. Lacks a subject index. Annotation c. Book News, Inc., Portland, OR (booknews.com)
