The book is tightly bound in textured black cloth with title in gilt on the spine. Corners are bumped and the bottom edge of the back cover is abraded. Period book plate design by American artist Franklin Booth on the front pastedown. A previous owner has signed his name on the "bookplate". Otherwise, the pages are clean and unmarked. Operating through a retail outlet located at 200 Maine St. in Brunswick and through its on-line sales activities, Curtis Friends operates only with volunteers from the local community and sells only those books donated by its constituents. Curtis Friends has been in existence for several decades.
