About this Item

Later (4th) printing of Jones WWII classic about the assault of Guadalcanal, and the source for the movie of the same name starring Sean Penn and Nick Nolte. Upper corners lightly bumped else the book is about fine in nearly fine dw with light edge wear to the extremities and the red lettering on the spine lightly faded. Jones has INSCRIBED the book on the title page.
