New York: Random House, 1964. Stated First edition. Very Good+/Very Good+. Roy McKie, Illustrator. "First Printing" stated on copyright page. Clean blue-green boards with blind stamped illustration of a dog with his paws on a man's shoulders, clean unfaded maroon cloth spine. No bumping or wear. A hint of fading to boards. Binding is tight, pages and edges are clean, with clean yellow top-stained page edges. Endpapers have very slight foxing; no names, writing or marks. Illustrations by Roy McKie. 150 pgs. Dustjacket is price clipped at upper corner of front inside flap, small pea-sized dhip at upper spine corner, several short closed edge tears. Enclosed in new archival quality removable mylar cover. A book about the mystique of the relationship between man and his dog.
