With some small chips and tears to the pages which extend out beyond the regular textblock. A handsome very good copy. With multi-colored paper, fold-outs and numerous illustrations. Soft cover. Condition: Good. No Jacket. 1st Edition. THIRD ASSEMBLING, A Collection of Otherwise Unpublishable Manuscripts, compiled by Richard Kostelanetz, Henry Korn, and Mike Metz, soft cover, first edition of 1000 copies, 1972. BOOK CONDITION: good. The text block is in near fine condition with no marks except faint pencil marks on first page, No dog-ears, but the edges of several entries exceeded the width and/or length prescribed by the compilers. Those few entries are edge-crinkled or torn. There is no bookplate or signature of a prior owner. Not a remainder or former library book. The wraps are in fairly good condition (foxing, spotting, rubbing, and small stain at bottom of spine where a label was). The wraps, while still attached, have begun pulling away from the spine because of the glue no longer holding. 11 x 8 1/2, unpaginated but easily over 150 pages, 28 ounces XX [From the preface] Contributors were invited to submit 1000 copies of up to 4 pages of anything they wanted to include, printed at their own expense. Submissions were collated alphabetically. Biographical notes identify most of the contributors. No manuscript was refused so names and views expressed are not the responsibility of assembling press or the editors. Assembling appears annually in the early fall. Its primary purpose is the publication of works too eccentric to be accepted elsewhere. XX Stories, poems concrete poetry, visual poetry, drawings, photographs, letters, and miscellaneous other written or visual material comprise this very avant-garde publication. Softcover. Condition: Very Good. First edition. Quarto. Illustrated. Wrappers with some soil and wear and neatly reattached to textblock, a couple of leaves standing proud have some toning and wear, very good or better; the interior is otherwise fine. Includes an introduction to the process, as well as a 10-point preface by Richard Kostelanetz. Each contributor prints 1,000 copies of their piece at their own expense and the issue is bound using those contributions. According to the introduction, no piece is refused. (N.B.
