Green cloth with gilt cover titles; blind stamped border rule; thin 8vo; 136pp; illustrated with 17 b/w photo plates, decorative chapter initials and tail piece decoration. "This little volume is the outcome of an article published in 1905 dealing, in the main, with the early history of Kamloops. To this has been added new matter and this narrative, with its many imperfections and shortcomings is the result." (from preface). Wade discusses early aboriginal life, fur trade, search for gold, the coming of the railroad, etc. This copy in particularly nice condition with small light spot to front board, corners tight, gilt titles bright. Internally quite clean. A hard to find British Columbia imprint.
