1947. First Edition. 189 pages. No dust jacket. Signed by the author. Blue cloth with gilt lettering to spine. Flat signed by author to title page. Pages are mildly tanned, with heavy foxing to edges and endpapers, but text remains clear. Moderate marking to endpapers also. Binding is firm. Previous owner's inscription and stamp to front free endpaper. Boards have moderate shelf-wear, with noticeable corner bumping and some scuffing to edges. Spine and edges are moderately sunned, with noticeable crushing and slight splitting to ends. Gilt is mainly faded. Noticeable bleach spotting to boards. Book has a slight forward lean. Boards are slightly bowed.
