This is a true first edition, first printing (first impression) with '1850' to the title page to indicate a true first print, in original boards - which are rubbed and bumped, some staining to the lower spine. Title to spine pages are clean and binding tight with damp staining to the top third of the front endpages, title page and to the rear endpage. There is a full page written in contemporary hand concerning Cooke to the front free endpage by a A.S. Farmer. Uncommon.
