First American hardcover edition, with dust jacket, published by St. Martins, 1984. The 8th in the Inspector Alvarez series. In this one, the inspector looks into the death of a New Zealand tourist, was it just an auto accident or murder? 188 pages, 5-3/4" X 8-1/2". The dust jacket is intact and is not price clipped. Jacket has some bumps marks, edge wear, short closed tear of about 1/4 inch on the bottom edge. Jacket has been protected with a clear, removable cover. Handwritten on the top corner of the first flyleaf is '1984 8 - 8 VIII'. No further writing besides that though. Not a remainder, not a library discard. We have more books in the series listed too. Attached are some photos of the copy we have in our inventory.

Terms of sale
30 day return guarantee, with full refund including original shipping costs for up to 30 days after delivery if an item arrives misdescribed or damaged.
For international shipments, we might sometimes have to adjust our shipping cost after your order arrives, if we determine that the weight of the book will cause the cost to be significantly more than the standard shipping rate for your country.
Shipping terms
We package all of our orders carefully either in a box that has been designed to ship books, or in a padded envelope. We want to make sure you receive your order in the best possible condition!
Our preferred shipping method is USPS Media Mail.
Recently, the USPS has added tracking to Media Mail , which has been a great addition to this service.
If you do choose to have your order shipped "Expedited", my shipping cost may seem higher than expected. Some of our books are large format hardcovers that can cost quite a bit when shipped expedited. So I would like to make sure that I can cover the cost upfront. However, if the actual cost of expedited shipping is less than the charge, I will refund the difference!
