First Edition (first printing). 8vo. 118pp. Blue boards lettered in gold at the spine. With a map, several illustrations and a small title-page design by John Craxton who also contributes a splendid dust wrapper illustration. A fine copy with very good non-price-clipped pictorial dust wrapper, with some fading to the publisher's red spine panel lettering. "This was a private account of an Andean journey organised and led by Robin Fedden in 1971. As I had no particular task during the journey, except looking after the Primus stove, I wrote down a rough and ready description of our doings in the form of three long letters to my wife" - Leigh Fermor.
