digest sized paperback 222 pp. The front cover near the spine has a couple of creases to it. There is a fold and crease to the upper right-hand corner of the front cover. There is a stain on the tip register of the back cover. The spine is intact with no crease and only a slight roll which is more of a bevel. The text block is intact. It is in incredible condition for a book that is 77 years old. Perfect for the collector of vintage mystery fiction. From the back cover: ?Brutal murder in sunny California is traced by a clue in the darkness of a man?s lost memory.? The map shows Los Angeles circa 1948 and could show some infamous crime scene locations. This is one of the sought-after Dell Map Back series of books which published maps of the main scenes on the back cover. Dell 497.

We use primarily Canada Post to ship, but will ship via courier for customers in Canada.
*** If Canada Post is threatening, or is on strike, then we will have to use FedEx for shipping, which carries a higher cost. (As of May 26, 2025, Canada Post is in the process of negotiating their contract, and is beginning strike action. All orders will be shipped using FedEx until further notice.) Please see the shipping template for the new costs of shipping.**
We generally ship within 1 - 2 business days (Monday through Friday, except statuatory holidays).
Orders placed on weekends and holidays are shipped the following business day.
Shipping rates are based on books weighing 2.2 lbs or 1 KG. If your book order is heavy or oversized, we may contact you to let you know extra shipping is required.
