Shipping terms
For UK orders, Standard Postage is by Royal Mail Tracked 24, which we aim to send out within 2 days. The priority rate is for Royal Mail Special Delivery or DHL, which we aim to send out within 1 day. For any specific requirement or deadline please do not hesitate to contact us.
For orders outside of the UK we ONLY send via a fully tracked service usually provided by DHL (you will receive email updates of the package's progress and confirmation of when it is out for delivery) though not where they have restrictions or require an remote location charge. Alternatively, we would use Royal Mail International Signed For mail (or where that service is unavailable, Royal Mail International Tracked delivery) (additional remote location charges may apply). The shipping costs shown reflect the use of this service and include our very careful packaging and sturdy book box. Rainford & Parris Books cannot be held responsible if an item is delayed during transit - any claims due to losses incurred due to delay will need to be made to the postal service / courier direct - nor can we be held responsible for any delays due to customs processing. The buyer is responsible for the payment of any additional VAT, duty or other charge or tax that may be applied.. Please contact us for a precise quotation or other options.
*** Note for US Buyers:*** From August 29, 2025, all UK-origin shipments to the United States are subject to customs processing. Printed books remain duty-free under US law, but some states may charge sales tax or handling fees on delivery. Ephemera and posters are also usually exempt when properly classified. Please be aware that delivery times may be slightly longer due to customs clearance.
