8vo 8" - 9" tall; 212 pages; 1930 Charles Scribner's Sons. HC 1st edition thus. Soundly bound in original black cloth with metallic gold paper title labels to cover and spine. 1930 on title page and Scribner seal to copyright. Hemingway's first book, published in 1925 by Boni but here with added introductions by Edmund Wilson and Hemingway and a story not included in the Boni printings. Paper label to spine dulled, rubbed and with a small chip top edge and a few light scratches. Top rear joint and crown of spine with a small area of damp mottling to the cloth; light fray to cloth at crwon and tiny nicks at tail of the spine. Usual mild gneral toning to page stock. G++.
