A first edition, first state of the "A" variant paper wrapped issue, rebound. With the correct 152 pages of text and no publishers advertisements at the end. This variant was published simultaneously with the cloth variant "B", both without any statement of printing on the copyright page. 10,000 copies printed. Rebound with blue cloth boards with half leather binding. Lightly rubbed gilt decorations on the spine, top edge gilt. Wear to the edges. Clean marbled end papers. Light foxing and age toned contents. 152pp 12 x 17cm.
