With the bookplate of George Watson Neish to the front pastedown. Watson Neish founded the corporate law firm, Macfarlanes LLP. Illustrated, with a portrait frontispiece of the author. In two parts. With essays titled 'The Farmer at Home', 'Field Faring Women', 'The Golden-Crested Wren', 'John Smith's Shanty' and 'The Labourer's Daily Life'. In a half vellum binding with paper covered boards.
