One of the early beneficiaries of this program was Barack Obama Sr., who would marry during his American residency, and ultimately sire his legendary namesake. With growing popularity, power and a pan-African vision, the promising 38 year old was assassinated in broad daylight. News of his assassination would spur riots throughout Kenya, as the beloved young statesman who was chiefly responsible for Kenya gaining independence, was now the victim of an assumed politically-motivated assassination.
