1961. First Edition. 192 pages. Illustrated dust jacket over red cloth boards. Gilt lettering. Clean pages with light tanning and mild foxing throughout. More pronounced to free endpapers and pastedowns. Ink stamp inscription to back free endpaper. Binding remains firm. Boards have mild edge-wear with slight rubbing to surfaces and bumping to corners. Gilt lettering is bright and clear. Unclipped jacket. Panels and spine have light edgewear with tears and creases. Moderate tanning and wear marks to flaps, panels and spine. Original Cloth. Condition: Very Good. Dust Jacket Condition: Good. Gill, Margery (illustrator). First Edition. The boards have slight discolouration at the top of the rear panel where the jacket has been damp at one time and has red staining along the top edge. There is a bump to the top left corner of the rear panel and some light edge rubbing. Page edges slightly browned. There is some spotting to the endpapers with 'File Copy' in pen to the front free endpaper which also has the label of Robin Dalton Associated. The book has a slight musty smell but the pages are otherwise clean and unmarked. Jacket has chipping to the top and bottom of the spine. The front and rear panels are a little discoloured with some peeling to the laminate around the edges. There are two small closed tears to the bottom edge of the front panel and some chipping to the top left corner of the rear panel. The front flap has a crease down its length.
