The author travelled the breadth of Canada from East to West, reporting his observations and his adventures railroading and on the trail. He describes Winnipeg, Vancouver, Toronto, and other cities; his trip through the Prairie Provinces during the harvest; battling mosquitos in the thick forests, crossing the Rockies, fishing for trout, and with a chapter on his hunt for bighorn sheep. Well illustrated. Uncommon to find this title in the original pictorial cloth, gilt titles and sheep vignette bright. Railroad vignette on upper board quite legible.
