Both works have a single errata leaf at end, with the 'Commentarii' also having a corrigendum slip. 190x115mm. Contemporary half vellum, spine and label ruled and lettered in gilt, edges stained in red. Text in Latin throughout. Preliminaries display a number stamps of the Oblates of Mary Immaculate order, including St. Conleth's Philipstown (Daingean). *Patrick Aloysius Murray (1811-1882) was a leading theologian of mid-nineteenth century Ireland. Born at Clones, Co. Monaghan, he was long associated with St. Patrick's College, Maynooth, where he taught both moral and dogmatic theology. His failure to secure advancement within the Irish Church is believed to stem from his confrontational relationship with Cardinal Paul Cullen.* A very attractive copy. Images available on request.
