Studied in St. Petersburg, member of the Artist Group of Riga and the Graphic Association of Riga. Winner of the Gold Medal az the International Exhibition of Decorative Arts in Paris, 1925. Specialized in book illustrations and ex libris. PÄ vils VÄ«lips (1901-1979) Latvian poet, essayist and translator. In the 1920s VÄ«lips was member of the Latvian expressionist group of writers who focused on the aspects of contemporary urban life. "Romantika AutobusÄ " and "21 Dzeja" are two remarkable example of this movement. . Two stains on cover, otherwise a fine a copy. Seller Inventory # 382
