Cover, initial and 5 full page illustrations by Sigismunds Vidbergs (1890 1970) Latvian graphic artist. Studied in St. Petersburg, member of the Artist Group of Riga and the Graphic Association of Riga. Winner of the Gold Medal az the International Exhibition of Decorative Arts in Paris, 1925. Specialized in book illustrations and ex libris. P?vils V?lips (1901 1979) Latvian poet, essayist and translator. In the 1920s V?lips was member of the Latvian expressionist group of writers who focused on the aspects of contemporary urban life. "Romantika Autobus?" and "21 Dzeja" are two remarkable example of this movement. . Two stains on cover, otherwise a fine a copy.
