The publisher's file copy, with a sticker to the effect to the head of the front pastedown, and several 'File Copy' stamps and cut-outs. 8vo. xii, 212pp. Red cloth with slightly faded gilt lettering to the spine. Eight photographic plates. Cloth faded at the backstrip, and just a little marked in places. Some uneven toning to the dedication leaf, offset from a laid-in slip, yet still a very good copy. No dust wrapper. "This is in no sense a guide-book, because I possess none of the qualities that make a reliable guide. Such a person should be sober, honest, industrious, responsible, erudite, and above all respectable . reader, not one of these virtues is mine" - from the author's preface.
