Thick quarto. 8.5 x 11 in. 792 pp. Occasionally illustrated with black & white reproductions of photographs, schematics, diagrams, etc., including a fold-out. Very good in original grey vinyl wrappers that have isolated stains on the front and back covers, some rubbing to hinges, and age-toned pages that otherwise remain clean and free of foxing or other markings. This text, prepared by Bell Telephone Laboratories for Western Electric Co., contains a series of essays on the theory, properties, design principles, application, and characteristics of transistors under development in the 1950s.
