Very good books in original boards. Pale green paper on boards with dark green cloth and paper labels on spines. Boards are soiled and scuffed, several rub throughs along edges and all fore-edge corners. External page edges are age- and soil-darkened. Both inside gutters of Vol I are partially cracked but holding. Small crack to front gutter of Vol II. End papers are darkened from what appears to be glue residue or bleed through. Pencilled writing on both FFEPs. Text pages are clean as would be expected when the pages are unopened. Text blocks are sound.
