About this Item

New York: Alfred A. Knopf, Inc., 1937. First American Edition. A Very Good hardcover book lacking the dust jacket. There is a pencil notation on the front free page "Dostoyevski's Successor". Otherwise the book is overall clean unmarked and appears very, very carefully read. The top stain is still even and relatively strong, the pages and text block are free of sunning, soiling or foxing. The binding remains strong and intact. There is a crease down the middle of the front board as pictured and some sunning and light soiling to the spine as well. A quite presentable example at a very attractive price.
