Irish nationalist poet and sculptor Dora Shorter (1866-1918) was a prolific member of the Irish Literary Revival. Her tomb at Dublin's Glasnevin cemetary, which she designed, contains a time capsule with an uncertain date to be opened. This is a Very Good (Plus) copy of her final book, a posthumous collection dedicated to the heroes of the Easter Uprising. A scarce title. Blue cloth binding, ruled, with gilt lettering on the spine. Clean text; 72 pages. Edited by Mitchel Kennerly. Frontis portrait and with a photograph of her monument dedicated to Padraig Pearse and the other rebels of Easter Week 1916. There is a stamp from the Marist Fathers on the half-title. Rubbed at the margins Size: 16mo - over 5�" - 6�" tall. Seller Inventory # 002904
