Moderate shelf/edge wear and rubbing to brown patterned paper covers with black and gilt accents. Spine edges rubbed. Only flaw is a name (Steinert) written in ink and a date of 11/18/42 on the front cover. A catalog/history of the Trident Water Meters produced by the Neptune Meter Company of New York City in 1936. Filled with vintage color illustrations and diagrams and specs for many different pieces of equipment. The firm was founded in 1892. Its original product, the Trident water meter, was based on designs patented by John Thomson, a prolific inventor and member of the American Society of Civil Engineers. Neptune boasted in 1903 that ?Nearly 165,000 Tridents? were then in use. No other copies online and only 5 copies in libraries. OCLC-#5373533. Very scarce. A very respectable pre-WW2 copy.LOC SSE-04.
