"The following letters were written to me by my son Russell, during his trip round the world (1885-86) in which he was accompanied by his friends J Alexander Harmer of Norwich and James R Roberts of London and in the course of which he visited the United States, Canada, New Zealand, Australia, Chine, Japan, Ceylon and Egypt." 247p errata slip folding coloured map showing the Itinerary. The book is bound in the original plum boards with gilt titling. Half title and some pages of preface wanting. Book otherwise clean and tight though front hinge slightly loose and corners rubbed; top of spine nibbled. Excellent reading copy. See scans and email for more.
