Item description from seller

The first book in the six volume Lensman (History of Civilisation) series. The first printing was 1948, with a dustjacket showing 'Triplanetary' printed in red on front cover: this is the second printing with 'Triplanetary' printed in yellow. See L. W. Currey: SF & Fantasy Authors: A Bibliography Of First Printings of Their Fiction p. 457. Both pastedowns show browning, else a fine copy in a VG+ pictorial (bright, unfaded) dustjacket with spine edge wear, a little rubbing to rear (white) panel and dust-soiling along rear flap fold.
