Number 67 of 750 numbered copies. A very good copy of the first combined edition of Walter's Crane's three children's books, with a new Preface. Oblong quarto. 30 x 31 cm, 192 pages. Copiously illustrated and decorated in colour by Walter Crane and printed by Edmund Evans. Original vellum-backed gilt decorated brown cloth, top edge gilt. Binding is sound (hinge between endpapers open but holding), pages are clean with a very occasional light fox mark, corners are slightly bumped and vellum slightly soiled - overall a very good copy.
