First American Edition/First Printing. Hardcover. Very good book in a good unclipped dust jacket. Green cloth book has an ownership signature to the front free endpaper and a discrete ownership blind stamp to the title page; staining to the bottom page edges and a remainder mark? to the upper page edges. The jacket is priced at $7.50 as called for, with creasing and soiling to the panels and wear and chipping to the spine ends plus staining and wrinkling to the lower front panel. This novel was first published by Obelisk Press of Paris in 1939 and finally published by Grove Press in this edition following a successful court case ruling establishing Tropic of Cancer and Tropic of Capricorn as literature.
