Incomplete, lacking index pages and folding map. Ex-library with remains of library slip on front endpaper. No other library stamps or markings. Edges of boards worn and rubbed. Spine cloth rubbed and worn with one 3/8" chip and a couple of 1/4" tears to the cloth. 1/8" missing to cloth at each end of spine. Gutters roughly reinforced with paper at hinges.; [2], ii, (94) of 99 pages + 2 plates of Brown Trout + 1 folding colour plan of the Acclimatisation Society's Ponds at Masterton. Lacking the folding map and the 3 leaves of Index at rear. Blue boards with gilt lettering. Page dimensions: 210mm x 135mm. "Seven great rivers - The Clarence, the Waiau, the Waimakariri, the Rakaia, the Waitaki, and the Clutha - find their exit into the sea on the east coast of the Southern Island Of New Zealand.
