The eight novel from "the queen of spy writers" and something of a departure from her usual espionage thrillers. This one is more of a tense, emotional, romantic, character-driven novel - and none the worse for that. There's a name and date ('53) on front endpaper, and minimal softening of spine ends, but a near fine copy in a very good, price-clipped dust jacket slightly worn at extremities and with a couple of small nicks.
