Prance accuses innocent men of the murder of Sir Edmund Berry Godfrey and ramps up the hysteria surrounding the Popish Plot. A True Narrative and Discovery of several very remarkable passages relating to the Horrid Popish Plot: as they fell within the knowledge of Mr. Miles Prance of Covent-Garden, goldsmith. Viz. I. His depositions concerning the plot in general, and a particular design against the life of His Sacred Majesty. II. The whole proceedings touching the murther of Sir Edmundbury Godfrey, and the particular circumstances thereof. III. A conspiracy to murther the Right Honourable the Earl of Shaftsbury. IV. The traiterous intrigues and immoralities of divers popish priests. Published by authority. London: Printed for Dorman Newman at the Kings Arms in the Poultrey, 1679. The volume is paginated as follows: [8], 40 p., [1] leaf of plates :  port. The volume collates as follows: pi2 A-L2. In this edition, line 21 of title ends "divers" in place of "di-".The Volume is in Very good Condition disbound, with generally clean, well margined leaves, some mild general toning, as well as some small creases and fox marks.
