With pictorial endpapers, a portrait frontispiece and four captioned plates. A tiny hint of dust soiling to the top edge, else a fine copy in non-price-clipped dust wrapper, with two tiny nicks to the upper edge and a single tiny area of accompanying creasing. A new translation of Turgenev's celebrated autobiographical novella, followed by the translator's fifty-two page critical essay 'Spring Torrents, its Place and Significance in the Life and Work of Ivan Sergeevich Turgenev'.
