Subtitled "An Interdisciplinary Study based on Radiocarbon Dating, Dye, Mordant, and Technical Analyses, as well as Historical and Art Historical Sources". Published simultaneously in 2016 in an English and a German edition, with 300 English copies and 200 German copies. This is the English edition. A scarce and important work published in English in only 300 copies, most copies of this title are sequestered in private or institutional libraries and rarely come to market. Fine hardcovers full bound in blue cloth boards with blindstamped design to the front boards and red lettering to the spines. Clean inside and out, with no markings of any kind. Binding is solid and square, which is important considering the size and weight of the volumes. Dust jackets are in Very Good to Near Fine condition with just a minimal amount of edge and surface wear, consistent with a ten year old work from an active textile collector's reference library. No tears, creases or chips. Very minor sunning to the spines.
