About this Item
A good+ copy of the first hard cover edition, lacking a dust-jacket (perhaps as issued). All 50 of the colored plates are tipped in. Save for a previous owner's name, date (1912), and location (Paris), the text is wholly unmarked, pristine, although, as might be imagined, the pages are a tad discolored with age. Half-title page is loose and laid in. The front panel of the binding is still quite bright in appearance, though there is a smallish stain midway down and to the spine (see scan). Spine is dramatically discolored with age and the gilt lettering is illegible. Rear panel somewhat discolored and smudged, as from handling. Fraying at the extremities of the binding, with a 1" chip missing from the top of the spine. Spine seam at base of front panel has a 1" tear. [Please note: Due to the size and weight of the volume extra shipping may be required depending on the destination and speed of delivery requested. Quotations gladly provided.].
