Dhiaravamsa presents a thorough discussion of traditional Buddhist "psychology" and explores its relationship to Western forms of mental health therapies. He challenges individuals and professionals to radically and transculturally bring together all approaches to health and wholeness. By combining Eastern and Western traditions, we discover the total freedom to see, feel, think, and act as the fully loving beings we already are. This is an excellent introduction for anyone wanting to understand Eastern views of mind.
About the Author: Dhiravamsa is a spontaneous and unpredictable teacher. He draws upon 23 years of experience as a Buddhist monk in Thailand, and 24 years teaching Westerners in Europe, North America and Australia. He combines a wonderful and unusual blend of East and West--the deep silent awareness of a monk, with a penetrating understanding of the pressures and complexity of modern life. He is primarily concerned with breaking through limitations and opening hearts. He now lives in Spain.
