Twelth Report with an Inventory of the Ancient Monuments of Orkney & Shetland

Set of 3 books with blue cloth boards and gilt lettering. Volume 1, 'Orkney and Shetland' is entitled the 'Report and Introduction'. Volume ll is 'Inventory of Orkney' and volume lll is 'Inventory of Shetland'. All books are clean internally with very little foxing and what there is being mainly on the edge of the text blocks. Tanning of the pages is very light and there are no notes or inscriptions, other than a sticker on the front end-paper of the Orkney volume which is a typed compliments slip from TP and JL Low, dated September 1946. B&W photographs and line drawn diagrams all clean and clear. There are maps in each of the pockets at the back of volumes 2 & 3. All volumes have marks on the covers, especially volume 3, and there is rubbing and bumping to the corners and rubbing to the edges of the spines. The three books together weigh more than 3.5 Kg and so postage will be more than stated.
