THIS copy was used in the famous RAYTHEON PRODUCT COMPANY (company stamp inside cover). The name Raytheon (a compound of Old French and Greek meaning 'light from the gods') was given to a product line of electron tubes by the American Appliance Company, which then became the new company name in 1925. Raytheon invented the microwave oven in 1945 and marketed the first "Radarange" oven in 1947. Later, Raytheon produced the famous Lark, Sparrow, Hawk missile systems and later the Sidewinder, Maverick and Phoenix among many others. Hard cover edition. 423 pages. Dimensions: 5.25" by 7.75".
