xv, [ii]-iv, [1], 6-199p. 16mo. Original dark cloth. 16 cm. Backstrip slightly faded and has a tiny chip at top. Contents have mostly moderate foxing (heaviest on endpapers and first several leaves). Isaacs spent 20 years at sea (probably from 1795 when he was about ten until 1815) and was involuntarily impressed by the British Navy in 1808 and again in 1813. Pages 154-199 cover the author's post-nautical life, including quite a bit about his religious conversion and belief in temperance. Seller Inventory # 90553
