A good original hardcover first edition over all, with significant shelf wear, rubbing to cloth at the corners, fore-corner tips through to boards, spine cloth split at hinge, cover cloth moderately soiled; front hinge broken, rear hinge cracked, internal binding secure, spine canted, paper moderately yellowed with some scattered finger soiling and foxing to the fore-edges and front endpaper missing, and evidenceof dampstaing to the rear endpapers.
