In burgundy cloth boards which are very attractively blind stamped. Gilt lettering to spine. Corners are a little bumped and some edge wear, particularly to the spine where there is a little tearing and loss at the head. Binding is loosening a little but still holding. Untrimmed page block edge is toned. Some foxing to earliest pages with a few spots of foxing here and there internally. Two plates are present though lightly foxed. Several pages of adverts by the publisher dated May 1959 in the rear.

Richardson Rare Books Tel. 01472 823900 was formerly known as Mr. Books which is located on Tonbridge High Street in Kent, England for over 12 years up until July 2017. Due to the sale of the bricks and mortar side of the business it made sense to change the name to reflect a shift of direction. Since then we have been trading online, at PBFA fairs and Bloomsbury Book Fairs, as well as showcases at select antique centres in Lincolnshire. We don't specialise in anything in particular, just rare and fine books on many subjects. Over the years we have built up an impressive range of signed modern fiction firsts which aren't always listed on abebooks so please do call us if you have any particularly collections you'd like to add to.
